Chief legislator is another role that the president has. As a chief legislator the president can try and convince Congress to pass new laws or veto bills. The president cant just make new laws but can make an impact on Congress on which way they should go. If they should pass a law or not. The president as chief legislator will make speeches to Congress. In this role the president is their there to hopefully help protect the help and not let something pass that may end up hurting the people more then it would help protect them. - I dont really think one role that the president has is more important then any of the other roles.
