CHRIS EDUARD NARTEA Introduction The enterprise “Chigwell King” is an SME-sized business located in the Chigwell/Hainault area (more specifically; 181 Manford Way, Chigwell IG7 4DE). It is a family-run restaurant oriented around traditional Turkish/Balkan cuisine, but it also attracts many non-Turkish customers due to its welcoming environment. The brand has core goals it aims to achieve; including targets such as being viewed as an honest, community-oriented business in the general Chigwell/Hainault area, gaining a wide base of customers (both new and returning), being accessible to more demographics and expanding its locations. Chigwell King actively advertise themselves as a “family-run/owned business”, contributing to the casual, humble environment, therefore making the brand generally more approachable to new customers. Meanwhile, the traditional themes may make it more appealing to people of similar cultural backgrounds, or anyone who wants to participate in it. To put it in more detail. The bulk of their products are themed around specific cultures, and mostly consist of Turkish cuisine, however, they still welcome people of all backgrounds; this is effective branding as culture and tradition is a deeply appealing, sentimental topic to a lot of people, making them all potential customers. This is amplified by the fact of Hainault’s diverse eastern-European population, who may be interested in these types of cultural dishes.
