A.) The social problem that the article “Child Abuse and Neglect Laws Aren’t Being Enforced, Report Finds”, is focusing on how child abuse isn’t getting proper attention that it needs, and the government is the one to blame.
B.) The big problem that is emphasized in the article is that 680,000 children in the United States were victims of abuse and neglect in the year of 2013, and more than 1,500 of those children passed away. The article also emphasizes on how a lot of child abuse cases are not reported and that causes a big percentage of the problems. One thing I would like to know is why The Department of Health and Human Services declined to put their comment in this report. They are such a huge part in child abuse and there has to be a reason why they don’t want to insert what they think is the problem in the child abuse laws. Are they a problem, is question? Another question I have is after they found all the flaws in the Child Advocacy Institute, did they fix the flaws? Another thing I think that should be included in this article is if the system has improved and how are they trying to fix all the problems? Not once does the article …show more content…

Knowing that there are so many flaws in the system makes me cringe, because there shouldn’t be that many flaws in a professional system. These children need someone that can fix their situation, they need someone who can find the children who are not getting reported, they need someone who cares and can help them without these flaws. Another issue in the article I had is that people were blaming other people and I think they should look at the bigger picture and just fix the problem. The last thing that I had an issue with is why is the system that is actually working for children in Florida, why aren’t they trying the system out all of the world is it working so
