Action: MHP called Tara Peevy, RN at the MUSC Foster Care Clinic after MHS explained leaving several messages. Ms. Strong explain emailing the referral form to the clinic. Machelle Green explain receieing the referral form, however unable to reach the DSS worker for additional infromaiton.
I totally agree with you that Terrance as a child care provider can apply for financial assistance from some organization that helps low-income families. I also agree that he might need to apply for the government 's grant that can allow him not to pay back instead of getting loans. I completely agree that Terrance needs to make sure he hires qualified and responsible teachers that create a safe environment where children can learn. I think that could be a great idea for him to hire an assistant director who could supervise each classroom on a daily basis. Since Terrance will have two centers, if could be difficult for him to have to listen to the teacher 's concerns.

Their parents are mother, Lamyia Walters (DOB 6/14/1989) and father, Terrance Crenshaw (DOB 4/18/1982). I am writing this letter in regards to investigation for the current DCFS involvement in the state of Illinois. I am seeking out prior check with DCFS involvement in the state of Missouri.

I would also make sure to provide them with positive guidance. They need a positive guidance in their life especially at the age that they are in.
Within this article, there are guidelines for caseworkers that work with child protective services (CPS). There are seven stages in the CPS process. The stages consist of intake, initial assessment or investigation, comprehensive family assessment, planning, service provision, evaluation of family progress, and case closure. There are several core values that CPS workers follow. One of the stages that I focused on while reading is that CPS workers work hard to guarantee the safety of children within their family and home.
I will be confidential, sensitive and always have respect for the children. According to the code, “our paramount responsibility is to provide care and education in settings that are safe, healthy, nurturing and responsive for each child. We are committed to supporting children’s development and learning; respecting individual differences; and helping children learn to live, play, and work cooperatively. We are also committed to promoting children’s self-awareness, competence, self-worth, resiliency, and physical well-being” (NAEYC, 2011). Know and understand the settings policies and procedures- Any person working within childcare should have a clear understanding of their settings policies and procedures knowing all the rules and how to follow them appropriately so they know exactly who to turn to in any given situation. Child makes an allegation of abuse to you- Ensure you make no promises to the child (if they ask you not to tell anyone or to keep it a secret) and that you will do everything possible to help them and their situation. Reassure them and let them feel safe and that they have done the right thing.
One of the most world-changing moments in the world at the end of the 1920's was the Great Depression. Although some might have benefited from it, the Great Depression was also the event that caused the economy to become depressed due to many changes in the world. Currently, I am pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with areas of study in Psychology and Criminal Justice. A Bachelor’s degree in these areas of study, can open the doors to many different career paths ranging from human services to research to counseling. Personally, I would like to seek a career that will allow me to have an impact on other people’s lives. For this reason, I choose to explore the career of a Foster Care Placement Specialist. In this essay I will be considering how innovations in theory, policy and research have influenced the development of coordination, partnership and integration in childhood practice in my childcare setting in Scotland. I will analyse the development of policies concerning children and young people in relation to my setting and the professional groups involved within my setting. After this assignment I have learned that Department of Social Services provides a lot of different services to those in need. Just from hearing and reading stories those who work in the field of Social Services aren’t always given a good rep, especially those who work in Child Protective Services. From doing this interview I was pleasantly surprised as to how much work Social Workers do to provide children with a safe and stable environment. There is a lot that goes into what they do every day. I have always known I want to work with children.
I am able to discuss any work related concerns during my supervision as well and discuss my professional development. Staff is able to access courses, workshops and seminars that enhance the knowledge relating to the implementation of safeguarding policies. Weekly staff meetings improve working practice allowing staff to discuss child safeguarding issues. There are many programs out there that are nationally recognized to work with children. With being recognized through these programs, it helps you and your program to be better known by those who want their children in the best possible care. Many states have their own requirements of licensing when it comes to childcare centers. A huge part of the licensing program is to have background checks and to teach the future staff CPR or what to do in case of emergencies. It is also mentioned that many different careers could be used from the same majors that also deal with helping children.
The textbook for this course, Infants, Toddlers, and Caregivers, is based on ten principles for child care that are outlined by researcher Magda Gerber in the 1970’s. The ten principles are based on a philosophy of respect. In addition to the ten principles, a caregiver should know the “Three-R’s” for interaction. The Three R’s are respectful, responsive and reciprocal.
An unannounced follow up inspection was conducted on 11/17/2015. I arrived at the operation which is located at 1408 N. Edwards Ave, Mt Pleasant about 3:33 pm. I was greeted by Ashley Earl the director I then explained the purpose of my inspection. I prepared for the inspection by reviewing the frequency of inspections made, observing the operations, compliance history, the operations fee history, background check list and controlling person list, etc.
