For many years, America has been battling to remain healthy. Many people have taken matters into their own hands to make a change in their lives. However, others, like children, do not have the option to make such a drastic change in their diet. The government officials need to pivot their focus on trying to end child obesity in America. Various people ask themselves what are the factors that cause such high rates for child obesity? Or who is really at fault for overweight in children? Numerous kids across the United States suffer from obesity. Many schools have improved their lunches, with the help of Michelle Obama, to fit the health standards but at home kids are still eating junk food.

Researchers indicate “Daily cardiovascular activity that raises the heart rate for twenty minutes is thought to keep an adult body healthy” (Rich, Geier 2). Many people seem to think that anyone has the choice to eat an apple instead of a cheeseburger. Anyone who chooses the right foods to eat can easily avoid a long term health concern. That is the main reason why parents and children need a guideline to avoid obesity. Also, exercise isn’t enough to lose weight. A pediatric endocrinologist states that weight loss can be achieved but only if it remains regulated (Lustig 25). Having a busy schedule can get in the way of the chances to get thinner.
