Childhood Obesity has become a huge problem faced in America. Children simply eat to many fattening foods and don't get enough exercise. Of course exercise is important to being healthy which is what most people seem to focus on. Although what most people do not know is that diet plays a much bigger role in the health of their children than exercise. Especially considering the fact that our exercise is based on our diet. Our food is our fuel meaning that healthier food in the lunchroom leads to healthier children, and is completely necessary, no matter what foods we must give up to achieve this goal. This leads to America being wildly less healthy than many European countries. This ratio would be helped in our favor if we could get children to learn healthy eating habits as early as possible. This does mean sacrificing some of the foods we enjoy in order to have a healthier lunch at school. Since a majority of children eat the food that the school provides, the school food must then be the heart of the problem. With a reform in the cafeteria system, we could see the health of children skyrocket in the years to come, and we could see happier and more productive school communities. Health issues have become a big concern among Americans. Although instead of seeing concerns for the older generation. It has become for the younger generation. Because so many children are so overweight, many health complications can also follow. These include heart disease, diabetes, excess body fat, and certain skin disorders. Many of the dangers of obesity are yet to be realized by these children and therefore the decision needs to be made by the school board to put healthier food in the cafeteria. If they want to eat unhealthy, fattening food, then that decision can be made by their parents in case they want to pack
