Introduction
This paper reviews studies on childhood depression and its impact the behavioral and academic developmental domains of development. Research on behavioral development considers parent-child relationships, attachment styles, and conduct problems as possible outcomes risk factors and outcomes of childhood depression (Belden and Luby, 2006; Goodman, Stroh, and Valdez, 2012; Poirier et. al, 2015). Research on the academic domain, however, focuses on self-concept, self-efficacy, and academic performance in relationship to depression (Bandura, Pastorelli, Barbaranelli, & Caprara, 1999; Cole, Martin, Powers, Truglio, 1996; Hamilton, Asarnow, Tompson, 1997).
