Into The Wild English Final “Into The Wild” is a partial biography written by Jon Krakauer describing how the body of Chris McCandless was found in the wilderness of Alaska. Mr. McCandless was a gifted athlete and scholar, who from an early age shows deep intensity, passion, and a strict moral compass. He discovered that his father had a second family while McCandless was growing up but wasn't told until he graduated high school. He wanted to leave society because to pursue a life of adventure and not apathy/routine while also trying to get away from his sleepwalker, money-driven/materialistic parents. But it was showed that his relationship with his parental figures was not ideal and he refuses any gifts from them and then randomly disappears which apparently doesn't worry his parents. But maybe he was selfish for disobeying his parents' feelings to shower their son with love, maybe Chris was trying to show his parents that he could be independent on his own. One of the reasons why he didn't keep contact with his parents or the people he met on the way of his personal adventure was because he was afraid of their disapproval. In the epilogue, it stated that his parent really did care about him and it showed their friend when they were on the bus realizing their son was dead. The three people he befriended was Jan Burress, Ronald Franz, and Wayne Westerberg, they offered him help but he denied every offer they had. For Jan, he left a strong impression because he reminded her of her son and she wanted to keep him as her own. For Ronald, he left an impression by explaining to Ron that being alone is not the way to live life. He also says that Ron still has life in him and he should go and use it instead of dwelling on the past. Lastly, McCandless left a strong impression on Westberg because he was a better father figure to Chris. He didn't judge Chris at all and in return, Chris worked hard for Westberg. Westberg wanted him to stay longer,
