Christianity in Frankenstein Throughout the novel, there were many biblical allusions. Christianity play into novel by comparing the creation of Frankenstein's monster to the creation of Adam and Eve. Mary Shelley incorporating this into the novel to show that no one should ever come close as Frankenstein was to receiving "God" status because it will ultimately drive them to destruction. The purpose of these connection is that no one should not play God. This is controversial because everybody have different religious view. By the end of Volume 1, Frankenstein seems similar to the creation story from Genesis. Just as Adam wishes for companion, the creature wishes the same. In the end of the novel, Shelly concludes that moral and spiritual development can best be obtain through the rejecting of dogmatic belief structures, resulting in the elimination of God towards the realization of self-realization. Despite the lack of learning in the morals and ethics of Christianity, the monster in Frankenstein is able to form his own code of behavior based on example and the behavior he views from others. It should be mention that his instinctive sense of morality comes without the knowledge of God or a creator. While this seems to be an atheistic way of thinking about how morality is "inborn" it is impossible to ignore the way the bible and religious learning influence even this aspect of the novel. The religious references and biblical allusion cannot be ignored throughout the novel. Even though, Shelly is a atheist, she was able to make a deep connection with a religious and nonreligious view. This concept is controversial because there are many opinions that oppose Shelly's view and there are really few people that see the same view as Shelly. In the novel, the concept of Christianity was connected with a nonreligious creation. It serve a important purpose to show human should not overstep the boundaries and no human should obtain
