Christopher Boone is a 14 year old autistic boy who lives with his father. As a result of
having autism, Christopher is unique and experiences challenges in his everyday life. Although
he is autistic , he doesn’t let anything or anyone stop him from accomplishing his goals.
Christopher was determined to find out who killed Wellington the dog, take an A level
mathematics course, and reunite with his mother who lives in London. His journey was not easy.
But because of his confident and courageous manner, Christopher was able to solve the mystery
of who murdered Wellington and travel to London all by himself. Throughout the story,
Christopher remained strong and continued to fulfill his wishes.

decided that he should interview the residents of house number 40 because they live across the
street from the crime scene and would most likely know if something seemed odd on the night that the dog died. Another internal accomplishment is that Christopher could predict whether the
day would be a good, super good, or black day. Indeed, he was right because on a super good
day Christopher met with an old lady named Mrs. Alexander who told him about the
relationship between his mother and their next door neighbor, Mr.Shears. This input from Mrs.
Alexander helped him to get closer to finding out who killed Wellington. Christopher felt a sense
of pride because he got a better understanding of who the suspects could be in the murder of his
neighbor’s black poodle. In addition to fulfilling internal achievements, Christopher also attained external
accomplishments. For example, he was the first person in his school to be considered to take A

He made a shocking discovery, his mother was not dead. She left him and his father
and was living with her significant other in London. Christopher got very emotional and was
angry with his father because he lied to him. After a tedious trip, he reunited with his mother and
was ecstatic to see her. He wanted to form a relationship with his mother and trusted her to keep
him safe. Towards the end of the novel, Christopher started to become close with his mom and
drifted apart from his dad. Christopher was deeply attached to his pet rat named Toby. His
relationship with Toby was strong, and Toby helped him to feel at him. Throughout the book,
he tended to Toby. Christopher even took his pet rat on his journey to London. When Toby got
lost, he searched all over for him and climbed onto the train tracks to rescue his beloved pet.
Unfortunately, at the end of the novel Toby died at the age of 2 years and 7 months which was
quite old for a rat. Despite the fact that he was small, Toby had a lasting impact on Christopher's
