Stress happening when an event that bother people balance or over coping abilities. It also as a response to the different kind of external and internal stimuli (Pearson,2014). And it comes from either life event or daily event. The most common form is acute stress. It comes from the pressures in the resent past and expected events in the near future (American Psychological Association). Or it comes from an event that relate to unpredictability, originality etc. And it is a momentary response. Another form of stress is chronic stress. It is a long term or pervasive stress. Chronic stress is harmful than acute stress.

The general adaptation syndrome is the human’s response to stress (Pearson,2014). It occurs in three stages: the alarm reaction, the resistance stage and the exhaustion stage. The alarm reaction is the initial emergency response. The body begin releasing hormones to adjust stressors. Second stage, the resistance stages is the body develops an increased resistance to the stressors. However, as the body resistance rises above the normal range, people become tired and easy to get sick. Last stage is the exhaustion stage. In this stage, the body is unable to keep secreting hormones at the increased rate. People start being anxiety, irritability and having self-destructive behavior. …show more content…

Distress which is a bad stress. It occurs when stressful event too much to cope with. It affects or harm people health and daily performance. Eustress which is good stress that invigorate people to work. It can be beneficial and increases people incentive to get though situations (Mills, Reiss, Dombeck, 2015). Hyperstress which is an excessive stress. And Hypostress which is an insufficient stress
