People have always been delighted by the beauty of a butterfly. Butterflies are considered to be one of the most beautiful insects in the world. In many cultures they symbolize rebirth, and the transformation from youth into adult-hood and maturation. What begins as a starving caterpillar, one day, stops eating and hangs upside down from a tree, wraps itself into a cocoon, or chrysalis, and initiates the concealed transformation into an eye-catching butterfly. You wouldn’t know it by looking at them, but some caterpillars have primitive tiny wings tucked inside their bodies. When metamorphosis is complete the butterfly emerges from the chrysalis, and uses its muscles to pump blood through its body and wings to prepare to fly. Just as a caterpillar does, we, as people all have our periods of intense growth. I think the most critical stages of growth are spent in isolation and silence, quite like a caterpillar in a chrysalis. However, as people we spend that time looking inward as well as outward. We begin to reflect on the lessons we learned, the trials we’ve faced, and the monumental milestones in life we’ve conquered. We begin to look at our current relationships with our family, significant others, babies-mama or babies-daddies, our friends, the people around us, and even our past relationships. We reflect on where we went wrong, and rejoice in the times when things went right. Or even when things began wrong, but turned out right. We begin to observe our surroundings, the things that take place in our environments, on our televisions, and the media outputs. It’s so easy to
