What makes you happy in life? Well for me that would be dogs. They're always there for you when you're having a bad day, and the second you get up in the morning they run up by your side. They just give you unconditional love and attention, and all the puppy kisses until it brings a smile to your face. Now, there are many different breeds of dogs in the world and every different breed and dog has different characteristics. With every person being different as well, you need to find the right dog that fits you, almost like a relationship. I've had Golden Retrievers, Newfoundlands, Neregin Elkhounds, Labs, and many other breeds of dogs in my family and each and everyone has different traits. I've narrowed down what breed of dog I want next to a Golden Retriever or Bluenose Pitbull. The energy level that I'm seeking is up there. I want to be able to go on long runs and bike rides and bring my dog along with. A pitbull will do a great job of keeping up with me and not getting exhausted or overheated easily. While a golden is great for short distance runs, with their long fur they overheat very quickly due to their double coat. Many pit bulls are viewed in a negative sense and many are shot or put down due to their appearance, in reality, pit bulls are sweethearts. Therefore golden retrievers don't have anywhere near the same reputation. Goldens look like little fur balls and they always have a smile on their face. In fact, their appearance draws in more people than pit bulls because the golden just appears that much friendlier. Pit bulls are known as bloody dogs used for hunting, now they are recognized as protection dogs and not guard dogs.
