Clayton – you deciding to go to college is the same reason I decided to go. I do well at the job I am at, but I am limited as to how far I can move up. Getting my degree will help me find something else in a different field and make more money. The short story “Everyday Use” reminds me of my mother because she did not go to school passed eighth grade. This did not keep her from going after what she wanted and it made her push me, and my two siblings to graduate high school. When I graduate I will be the only person except one of my cousins on my mother’s side of the family that went to college.
