Cleopatra is known for being the last pharaoh and a woman of great beauty. On the other hand, there is a side of her that few people know of Cleopatras dark past. There are many rumors spiraling about cleopatra. Some of most intriguing stories about cleopatra is that she had part in the death of three of her siblings, Cleopatra is not Egyptian, Cleopatra might have not died from an asp bite, she fled in a naval battle, Cleopatra was highly intelligent and well educated, part in a crazy suicide and an iconic grave.

With the arrival of the conquering Octavian (the future Roman emperor Augustus), Cleopatra’s husband, Mark Antony, committed suicide under the false impression that she was dead. Despite all the other things that have happened, he most regrets his failure to be his most noble self. After burying him, the 39-year-old Cleopatra took her own life, though how is uncertain. Some claim it was by an asp, the symbol defines royalty. There something very odd about this. Cleopatra is never loyal to Antony, even though she claims to kill herself over him. Her constant willingness throughout the play to manipulate him is a sign of the fact that she would betray him as soon as it was convenient for her, either politically or emotionally.

Many people are unaware of where Cleopatras body is. The truth is that it is at the British Museum. This mummy is very gorgeous and historic. The mummy and coffin od Cleopatra, daughter of Candance, from the Soter family burial, entered the British Museum in 1832 via the first collect of Henry Salt.
