Climax In William Shakespeare's Romeo And Juliet

The climax in Romeo and Juliet was the substantial brawl with Romeo, Tybalt and Mercutio. Where Romeo kills Tybalt, initially Romeo did not wish death to Tybalt; however Tybalt killed Mercutio, which made Romeo very furious. So, Romeo drew his sword and Tybalt was dead. Romeo fled the scene and Prince Escalus arrived and banished Romeo from Verona.

When Romeo and Juliet meet for the first time and express their love for each other, this creates dramatic action when Romeo realizes his lover is a Capulet. Next, Tybalt challenges Romeo to a brawl, which ends up in Romeo being banished from Verona, this happens at the wrong timing because the two lovers secret marriage was in progress. The last bit of significant action was when Romeo did not receive friar’s letter and believes Juliet is dead. This causes Romeo to take his life, and when Juliet awakes from the potion, she stabs herself in a result of emotional pain of seeing Romeo dead.

The plays pieces begin to fall into place when Romeo kills Tybalt. Juliet was quite frustrated at first because Tybalt is a Capulet, however she continues with there secretive process. Romeo plays a vital role in the story, as he is one of the lovers. He is about sixteen years old and is claimed to be very attractive, educated, and sensitive. By most, Romeo is very likable and a mature man of his age. His main interest throughout the whole play is love; first with Rosaline and later a new found love of Juliet. Romeo proves throughout the story he is serious about his love with Juliet and also is a loyal friend to Benvolio and Mercutio.
