In the quote we see blame being something that everyone this day and age resorts too, because it is supposed to make them feel better or even help themselves in a situation. Blame is an idea that everyone does at one point in time, you see a fault or wrong and you pin that issue on someone else, blaming them. Similarity in Romeo and Juliet blame is being a big factor in how the Friar could have been to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet, and Romeo and Juliet themselves being blamed for the same. People would rather blame others and feel guilty for there rest of their lives, then admit that they did do that thing and not receiving guilt. He didn’t prevent the two from marrying each other and didn’t have guidance in their walk along each others sides, in result the characters Romeo and Juliet perished. Romeo came to Friar for guidance and in seeking himself getting married to Juliet. Friar did what he was asked, this set up the emotion for Juliet and her not wanting to get married to Paris because it is a sin to get married again once already married. Moreover Friar gave Juliet a sleeping potion with no guidance at all and Romeo totally mystified in thought of why and how his beloved Juliet died. Friar being lazy and not telling Romeo right away set up him sprinting to Juliet and seeing her and thinking she is dead and her wanting to be with Juliet , he kills himself with poison. Juliet wakes up and sees Romeo and kills herself by a dagger to her heart. The significance of this showing that the Friar in the place of power he had could have easily been a good guide for the two and helped them in a lot instead of doing the complete opposite. The Friar giving Juliet the sleeping potion and him being slow to tell Romeo made Romeo worried and thought provoked that his love, Juliet perished, in a sense that she did not.
