Romeo and Juliet is a play about star-crossed lovers. Romeo is apart of a high class Montague family; their rival is the Capulet family. Romeo falls in love with the daughter of Lord Capulet. They want to get married but they know that this will not be approved between their family feud. This is why they secretly ask Friar Laurence to marry them in secret.
Friar Lawrence was the wise adviser to Romeo and Juliet. He kept their secret and helped them be together. He was the one who married the two, hoping that the marriage would cause an end. To the fending He was the one who came with the idea of giving Juliet the potion to put her in a come state for 42 hours. He wrote a letter to Rome, but it never came to him because of the plague.
Friar Lawrence was depended on by Romeo and Juliet with their secrets even though he was the only adult trusted in this situation other than the nurse. Friar Lawrence made rash decisions without thinking of a back-up plan. Friar Lawrence is to blame for their death. The friar was the mastermind behind the plan to let Juliet run away with Romeo, and did not consider how faulted it was.

Friar Lawrence should have realized how risky his plan was, and how badly things could have turned out if it went wrong. He also should have realized that Romeo and Juliet were very dramatic when things didn’t go as planned, and were very reckless when it came to important decisions. He should have thought his plan through better, and at least acknowledged what could go wrong and what could have been done to prevent it. The True Death of Romeo and Juliet Throughout time there has been tragedies caused by love but the one that stands out the most is the story Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and Juliet talk about two star crossed lovers who are deeply in love, which ended the grudge between the Montagues and the Capulets. But who is truly to blame for the lives of Romeo and Juliet. Friar Laurence is to blame for Romeo and Juliet death because he planned a forbidden wedding, fakes Juliet death in the tomb, and not informing Romeo about the plan.
Friar is like, totally a criminal...seriously. Mentor, defined as a wise and trusted teacher or counselor. Everyone has had some person as a mentor. As a mentor that person should both advise their pupils if they need help, or in some cases even take the matter into their own hands. I think the friar was to blame the most he helped Romeo and Juliet get married secretly without their parents permission. Eeven them knowing and when the friar had to deliver plans to Romeo he failed so Romeo thought Juliet was dead. And so Romeo killed himself to join Juliet. Even though Friar Lawrence says that a greater power has ruined the plan, but he didn’t specifically explain what causes the tragedy of Romeo. Instead, he runs away because the watchmen is coming. From the three huge mistakes above, Friar Lawrence is an irresponsible, careless, and self-centred character.
Friar Lawrence should have done anything possible in order to bring Juliet out of the crypt. However, all he did was leave the crypt and let Juliet kill herself so that he could leave the scene and wouldn't be the one to blame. Even the prince in the final scene of the play says, "We still have known thee for a holy man". This means that everyone has known Friar Lawrence as a holy man, but he has made such terrible suggestions to Romeo and Juliet which caused the deaths of
Friar Lawrence was the one to blame throughout the entire story. Although Friar Lawrence was just trying to help throughout the whole story, he was just causing problems that led to Romeo and Juliets death.
