The True Death of Romeo and Juliet Throughout time there has been tragedies caused by love but the one that stands out the most is the story Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and Juliet talk about two star crossed lovers who are deeply in love, which ended the grudge between the Montagues and the Capulets. But who is truly to blame for the lives of Romeo and Juliet. Friar Laurence is to blame for Romeo and Juliet death because he planned a forbidden wedding, fakes Juliet death in the tomb, and not informing Romeo about the plan. The forbidden wedding of Romeo and Juliet couldn’t happen without the Friar help the reason behind it was that the Friar thought that the family feud would end between the Montagues and the Capulets. “In one respect I’ll thy assistant be, for this alliance may so happy prove to turn your households’ rancor to pure love” (2.3.90-93). What the Friar was thinking was that there was a slight of hope that his plan on marrying both Romeo and Juliet would end the feud between the two families so therefore he decides to marry the two lovers. …show more content…
