The Clodhoppers brand is already famous among the consumers, and people are inspired by their own brand story which is a good strategy to get the customers attention. In order to get public interest and attention you need to come out with a unique method because you need to let them know that your advertisement is different from others. However, telling their story is not just to sell the products but it is a method of building strong relationship with your customers. Their story identifies what their passions are and what is their unique way to attract customers. Now they are selling the Clodhoppers brand to Brookside foods which has their own brand story and they are also a well-known brand. So when they purchase Clodhoppers they might have a difficult decision to decide whether they should change the brand name or not. There are numerous reasons why they should not change the brand name, for example, customers attach meanings to brands and develop brand relationships. In the text book, it also said that “Products are created in the factory, but brands are created in mind” (…… , 333). So customers bond very closely with the specific brands. I would say that Clodhoppers brand is unique because it has a good, strong, and memorable name. So Brookside foods should think carefully about changing the brand. Instead of changing the new brand Brookside should keep Clodhoppers brand and then build a relationship with the customers of Clodhoppers. Moreover, Brookside foods should promise to deliver the atmosphere of real Clodhoppers even they are not the founder of Clodhoppers.
