In a world full of acceptance why must our schools be so intolerant? Is it right to teach of religion in public schools, or should religion be kept in private schools so people have the choice? “The answer is complex, but if we had to boil it down to one word, that word would be ignorance — a condition shared by believers and nonbelievers alike.” (Schiffman, 2012, pg. 1/5) In this reading, you’ll be informed about great things and failing things that entail having education and religion correlated in the public school system. Where can we find a happy medium between the two? We could introduce religion into the public school system by allowing it as an elective, or a class that children can choose whether they want to take. Schiffman(2018), “This is important because religious passions are some of the most powerful forces.” (pg. 2/5) Also, we could integrate college-level classes for those that would like to take their
