My full name is Dominion Oreofeoluwa Ajayi, and I was born and raised in Nigeria. I spent most of my younger years in a famous Nigerian city called Lagos. I attended both elementary school and middle school in Nigeria. My family and I later relocated to Houston, Texas about five years ago, because my mom got a job assignment transfer that was supposed to last for four years. I attended and graduated from Fort Bend Christian Academy which was located in the city of Sugar Land a suburb outside of Houston. Graduating from Fort Bend was actually my first time ever graduating from any school, and that was due to the simple reason that I had changed schools about four or five times, before settling down and graduating from Fort Bend Christian Academy. I’ve known since middle school that I wanted to do something related to the chemistry major, but it was not until I attended a leadership camp the summer before my sophomore year of high school that I decided I wanted to major in chemical engineering. The camp was focused on the engineering field, and team work and team bonding. As a final project, we were all split into groups of five to six and we had to come up with an idea on how to improve a water fountain, a slot machine, or a stationary bike. This is so that I can be grounded somewhere, and be able to look forward to the future. My end goal is to own my business, and in order to do that I need capital as well as contacts and experience; all which I cannot gain without acquiring a job first. I also want to return to school and obtain my master’s in business administration (MBA), so that I can move up the ladder in whatever company I end up working for. I am also trying to work out the possibility of also graduating with a minor in chemistry, so as to broaden my job
