Can you imagine having the perfect mind for math? A mind that could solve a math problem without writing it down. A mind that wouldn’t forget a math definition while taking a test. Wouldn’t that be marvelous? However, that is not the case with me. When it comes to math, math and I just don’t get along. Are you familiar with that butterfly feeling you get when you are on a roller-coaster or when you have to speak in front of a crowd? Well, that was the feeling I receive every year when waiting to see if I passed my math class. This subject for me hasn’t been very likeable, I do like a few things. For example, fractions and I have a simpatico relationship. I dislike quadratic equations, it takes me a long time to receive the right answer. To be honest, even though I am not a fan of math, that doesn’t stop me from trying to give it my best. I do believe in perseverance and if I’m willing to work hard than eventually my results will approve, I just have to have faith. …show more content…

I couldn’t let the feeling of not liking math get in the way of me learning. My first year of high school was unchallenging. My teacher was never there so we worked on worksheets throughout the year, which was good, but bad. There were students in my class that didn’t do work or understand the work, but passed, that hurt so many people in the long run including me. Years went on and I personally felt I approve, I wasn’t getting the grades I desired, but I wasn’t failing either. My senior year arrived, and I was given a math class on the computer sort of like this one. My senior math class was difficult because we couldn’t use calculators which was odd since all me past math class suggested we use calculators. The no calculator rule wasn’t my favorite, but it actually was a blessing in disguise, I learned how to do problems using my paper, pencil and math notes
