Colorado State Admissions Essay

I envision my first year of college to be successful, meaningful, and educational. I will be explaining what I picture, what I plan to do, how I plan to do it and what the outcome should be when I accomplish everything I want to do.

My first year of college will possibly be the most exciting year of my life. The new people, sporting events & parties are all so overwhelming. I can’t wait. But first I have to focus on what’s really important, the true education. My goal for college is to work hard, to really care for my work, to have the full support of my teachers and to also get all the help I need to do the best that I can on all of my work.

In order to do this, I have to stay committed to my work. In my first year of college, I plan on truly understanding every assignment given and if I do not understand, I will strive to get the necessary help that is required for me to understand. If I do that, there will be no excuse for me being anything short of spectacular. I had struggled with understanding my studies since grade school. I had gotten so frustrated and shutdown and ultimately gave up. It was the end of second semester my junior year that I was finally granted additional assistance and that made the world of difference in my self-esteem and all my grades reflected this.
