Why do I want to be a teacher? Many factors and thoughts go through my head when I think about making this career choice. You really have to think of the pros and cons of it all. Not only is the pay wage not the best, but also you have extra work outside of the school day as well. These factors were ones I did think about, but they did not influence my decision. I want to be a teacher because I want to work with children. I have always been around kids, especially since I have younger siblings and my mom does daycare. This has helped me since I have watched how she had handled them and thought them right from wrong. She always knew how to get them to calm down when they were upset, or cheer them up. Knowing I had only two more required credits for high school, and that I should take college classes. Wanting to not take pointless ones, and going to be entering my senior year, I had to act fast and figure out what I was going to do. When I had decided education was what I wanted to go into, I did the research and then signed up for the classes I needed. Teachers always like to teach people new things. I like sharing what I know with others and discussing their opinion about it. The subject I will enjoy teaching is science. I just have always been fascinated by the topic. When I was in Bio 2 Lab, I always looked forward to the lessons, especially when we were learning how different parts of the body worked. I want to be able to tell other people and share that same
