Curiosity has always driven me towards new experiences. Early in my high school years i discovered a personal truth. I have no limitations other than those i choose to impose upon myself. I’ve always wanted to go to college, it’s been my dream ever since i was young, not only to obtain a higher education, but also to motivate others to keep moving forward. As i grew older i realized that in order to make my dreams come true i would have to make sacrifices and take risks. To have gotten where i am today i have faced many obstacles and challenges that i had overcome. At the beginning of my high school career i struggled a lot, everything was extremely stressful and overwhelming. My parents separated during my freshman year which made it harder for me to focus on my academics and kept me from having better grades. Overcoming this immense obstacle was difficult. However, i realized that my parent’s problem shouldn’t determine my future and won’t get in the middle of my education. My grades dropped drastically because i was distracted and focused more on less academically inclined classes. I’m extremely passionate about art and dance and it was my main focus at the moment.
