Over my high school career, I have considered many different occupations that could impact my community while also including subjects I am passionate about. Criminal justice, early childhood, and music production are just a few examples of my uncertainty. While I was interested in each one, the choices did not give me the passion for the future in the way I want. I had many hobbies, but I knew that they were not career options for me. I wanted to pinpoint the exact choice that would make me think, “I can do this for the rest of my life”, and that is exactly what happened. Towards the end of my third year of high school, my introduction to business class quickly became the best time of my day. Martin Luther King had said, I was using the intellect I had gained from my education to make a decision that would shape my character and my future. My newfound character and intelligence that I had acquired by the course would also help me make more informed and lucrative decisions. As a result of my love for the class, I had then become certain about my future and my method to serve the people in my community. While it may not be directly changing peoples lives, it is a stepping stone to helping people have a fulfilled life and providing them the necessities they need to do so. The field of business is very diverse because of the many different branches it holds, including marketing, international business, and business communications. There are countless options for me, which could include any one of my passions. However, this also means that, just like before, I must consider each one by using critical thinking. Which branch will contribute the most to the community? Will it change a person’s life? Could it change the world? These are the questions that are running through mind head
