MY TRACK SHOES

“Win from within”, a famous quotes from Olympic runner Usain St. Leo Bolt. This quote is very inspiring to me and my career choice of being a runner. As a runner my track shoes symbolize more to me than just running. My track shoes mean so much to because they signify hard work, memories, and my future.
Hard work is one of the many things I think about when is see my track shoes. Waking up and going to 6:30 practice in the mornings is challenging. Now, I play other sports, but these practices are by far the hardest to get used to. Every day for almost an hour and a half really is a difficult task. Multiple time I have been too sore to run or too tight in the muscles and have to stretch. In track my team and I do many things and travel many places together. For instance annually the track and cross country teams have a movie night at Coach Pratt’s house. Since I have been running track, I have traveled to many different schools I probably would not have if I was not on the team. From going all these places I have acquired new friends such as Fisher from Byng, Kira from Marietta so on and so forth. You never know who you will meet or the places you will go. I think the memories will last a life time.

Now I know I am only in the 9th grade, but I think funning is my future. I hope to get a scholarship in running and go to college some place away but not too far. One thing I really want to do is go to an Olympic tryout and maybe to the Olympics if I make it. Right now my best race, the 800, split times are 1:03 and 1:10. Which is considerably low for the Olympics. My track shoes are important to me because without them I would not be able to do the things I do. I think if I work hard enough I can do
