1 “Where Is It Written?” by Adam Schwartz, is a story about a boy who wanted to live with his father because he didn’t like how she treats him and how he was living. Then, his mother tried to stop him from leaving instead of trying to solve the problem by listening to him, and do what he is asking her to do. A word that best describes her is a bewildering. The reason for this is that she a woman who is odd, a women who don’t know how to cook, a woman who is crazy and loud, a woman who like to do what she wants and makes problems with everyone. In the story, Sandra/ Sam says, “ I turned around, ready to shout “Why cant you be like everyone else! (p.g.98)”. This quote illustrates Sandra’s is not like everyone else, she is a odd woman, she is different than the other women. It also show that her son is not happy for who she is, He wants her to change to be like everyone. This quote also shows that her son wants her to be a normal women to act like one, to start to separate her job and her personal life to start act like a mother who really care about their kids. Sandra can also be described as erratic. In the story, we can see that her own son couldn't even understand her, she use to tell him leave, and don't come back, And then she will try to go after him and tell him come back. Another section of the story that shows that she was confused, she don't know what to do. She used to bring her patients to her house, instead of taking them to her office.] This is significant because her son didn’t know what to expect from her, because she’s a puzzle woman, and that made her have more problems between her and her son, it also made her not take care of her son as a good parent usually as she should. To me, I think she is a mother who really have a lot of thing is going on in her life, and she don’t know how to properly manage them. She is trying so hard to be a good parent, but she is doing it in the wrong way instead of trying to stay with her son and listen to him, she being to resist to listen to him and start to have a bewildering behaviour and because of that her son Sam wants to leave her house and go to his father
