There were many groups living in the United States between 1860 and 1900 and most of the groups we can categorize people into had very different viewpoints. The main groups that most can be categorized into are the wealthy, the common people, the Indians and the Chinese. Starting with the wealthy they looked at the west as a big fat paycheck, the wealth folks went out west and bought up lots of land and production and monopolized, while the common people competed with these big companies for free and cheap land because they were the poor back east and came out west with hopes of finding gold while mining or getting rich off abundant crop land or maybe it was some common women who came out west because they were allowed to purchase land out west. The Indians were native to the west and after immigration started some of the bigger tribes fought back but most tribes were too small and were forced by the American
APUSH Unit 2 Long Essay In 1603, the English were still a small rising nation, poorer than most, and less powerful than Spain and France. Although the British colonies settled in the Americas late, they quickly became a dominant force in the new world. After they acquired their first permanent settlement in Jamestown, VA in 1607, the British became attracted to greater power and more land, which was the first building block of perhaps the most powerful European nation of the time period. Due to their growth in the Americas, the British were able to be compared to the Spanish colonies of the time period, which boosted the English’s confidence.
Historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) are institutions of higher education in the United States founded primarily for the education of African Americans. Prior to the mid-1960s, HBCUs were virtually the only institutions open to African Americans due to the vast majority of predominantly white institutions prohibiting qualified African Americans from acceptance during the time of segregation. As such, they are institutional products of an era of discrimination and socially constructed racism against African Americans (Joseph, 2013). The Corps of Discovery was a group of the United States' army that was specifically opted for exploration. The leaders of this branch consisted of Meriwether Lewis and William Clark. Thomas Jefferson started this association with aim to receive knowledge of the newly purchased Louisiana Purchase and establish relationships with the Native Americans of the region. The president also wanted to start stacking U.S presence in the Northwest and Oregon territory. The party of 45 men set out on May 14th, 1804 after Lewis and Clark had separated to gather supplies and train the participates.
This school is a tradition is my family. My great grandpa, grandpa, father, and now my brother attends as a very successful student and athlete. This school has changed my life drastically. I do not live with my brother, Will. Which is hard for all my family.
But overall the people are nice here. But it a great experience to go somewhere new. I also have lived in New York for a year or so. When it comes December it starts to snow and it gets really cold. The snow is really soft it feels like a pillow.

During the proposal of the Equal Rights Amendment in 1972, Schlafly founded a group with more proactive approach called “Stop ERA” with one goal in mind, to defeat the ratification of ERA. After the success of the “Stop ERA” campaign, Phyllis Schlafly founded the eagle forum, a pro family group dedicated to “opposing all encroachments against American sovereignty through…feminist goals” (Schlafly). Althoug the primary interaction that eagle forum has had with the womens movement was the ERA, they also are incessantly combating
Freedom Summer, or the Mississippi Summer Project, was a volunteer campaign launched in June 1964 to attempt to register as many African-American voters as possible in Mississippi, which had historically excluded most blacks from voting. The project also set up dozens of Freedom Schools throughout Mississippi to aid the local black population. The projects leadership and funding came from the SNCC and COFO, along with hundreds of white college students in the north. In 1963, the SNCC organized a mock vote for blacks, which gave them a chance to prove they were capable of understanding politics. The civil rights activists from both organizations and the white volunteers from the north faced many challenges during the campaign.
“Beta club is not for everyone, it is just for those who want to be leaders.” That is exactly why I want to be a member of the Beta club. I want to be a leader. The Beta club is an opportunity giving program, which will give us the chance to serve others and be around others who are different from us. The Beta club can open up many students’ hearts and convey their dreams to the world.

Some people believe that living in Mexicali is better than living here in the Imperial Valley, but from my point of view is better the Imperial Valley than Mexicali for two reasons. First, I believe that here is most safer than Mexicali, and second, the houses here are so big and beautiful. Mexicali is a big city, with very kind people, and great places to have fun, but also is very dangerous. I lived there all my childhood and part of my adolescent, so I know very well how Mexicali is, that's why I prefer to live in the Imperial Valley. I feel safer living her.
San Francisco is a beautiful city in which more than half of the people living here come from different countries, states, cities, contents, etc. I have lived in San Francisco all my life and often come into contact with many people from out of state. I also get deemed a "unicorn", whenever riding lyft,, because their aren't a lot of natives that take lyft or uber. I get asked, so often how I feel about the changes in the city or about what my favorite spots are, that I thought it would be interesting to see how not locals feel about San Francisco. I set out to interview my lyft drivers and riders, because I take lyft twice a day and it was a chance to start spur of the moment conversations.
First, you are around everything your family needs. You can go to stores and other locations very quickly. Also, neighborhoods are very friendly. Other people feel welcomed when they come into suburban neighborhoods because the people around them are affable. Have you ever moved houses? What about cities? Or states? Moving for many people is normal and doesn 't affect them whether they move to a different neighborhood or to a city far away. Some enjoy experiencing new places and new people, basically starting a new life.
