Feminism as a term sometimes may not be very understandable because lots of different stereotypes are attached to it. People have various ideas, or ideologies that they all hold.
It is a movement that consists in free choices and equality for women. Moreover, there are included other issues as, race, gender or status.
Many people believe that rights of the women are not an issue anymore. They link their belief with the fact that women are free to vote since 1920 or that this right was given later to the women of color around 60s or 70s. Moreover, they were not allowed to have their credit card till 70s just if this had to be done with their father or husband.

Sometimes feminism is interpreted like “a creature with many faces”. There are liberal feminists, socialists, the radicals ..the list continues. The major issues we confront today , were fought by previous women in last two waves. Continuously, they work to vanquish distinction between men and women in all spheres of life (Dorey-Stein, 2015).

The most basic definition of feminism is that it is the belief that women should be equal to men and currently are not. Moreover it refers to organized actions that support changes to society to end injustices, which disadvantage women major areas.
A definition from bell hooks' Ain't I a Woman: Black Women and Feminism: "to be 'feminist' in any authentic sense of the term is to want for all people, liberation from sexist role patterns, domination, and oppression" (Lewis & Johnson, 2017, par.3). Individuals utilize the term of feminism for their own beliefs, ideas, movements and agendas. Therefore, in ethical terms feminism lies on beliefs about what culture is like for women just because they are women, compared to what the world is like for men just because they are men. This aspect of feminism is descriptive.
