From a director, we can see that his other movies have a similar story plot or theme, the angle of the shots and casts. The movies Love Actually and The Pirate Radio is directed by Richard Curtis. These two movies have similarities because these two movies are directed by Richard Curtis and these two movies have differences. Not only him, there are other directors follow this. In Tollywood, Sukumar, a talented director uses physics, especially law of motion in his movies and Ram Gopala Varma (RGV) exploits moving cameras for his movies, I like the moving camera shots because moving cameras create horrifying horror movies. Another example is Michael Bay, where his explosive sequences in his films always exquisite and stands out. And actor and director Seth Rogen, where comedy is the main element and the story revolves around friends and family in his movies. On the other hand, The Pirate Radio’s theme is love for broadcasting radio and pirate radio stations broadcast to the United Kingdom from ships anchored in international waters, specializing in rock and pop music that is not played on BBC Radio. The movie Love Actually sets during the Christmas and in The Pirate Radio, there is one scene, where they celebrating Christmas. In these two movies, Richard Curtis employs rock and roll music to increase audiences’ feelings. In addition, the exploitation of swearing language, F-words are used in some conversations in both movies.
