Within MAAN it’s displayed through all of the characters that everyone experiences love. Benedick and Beatrice are dismissive of love in their lives, then Hero and Claudio are embracive of it. People are always changing their mind and ideas, they’re choosing what they want to do. The characters are choosing who they want to love, or if they want to love. The feeling of Claudio's love doesn’t just fall upon him, same with Benedick. Things happened that caused them to decide that was how they felt. Reluctantly she opens her heart to him. It might take her longer, but it happened. “If thou dost love, my kindness shall incite thee. To bind our loves up in a holy band.” (Shakespeare, 91). The choice that Benedick made causes Beatrice to feel this way. His choice to change caused her to feel the same, because he loved her and she wanted to love him. It’s like returning a favor. “I love you with so much of my heart that none is left to protest.” (Shakespeare, 143). Beatrice is proclaiming her love for Benedick. Love to them now is intricate, not only that but it’s new. A new world that they’re choosing to enter together, hand in hand and walk in it. People change as life goes on and it allows others to adapt with those who change around them. The human race is susceptible to change and influence, good or bad. After benedick changed Beatrice sees it. Surprisingly so even though she is stubborn and immature she decides to do the same. Both characters were in complete control of what they wanted. It was a decision that they had to make individually. Through their individualistic development they pull each other along, into a whole new world they now get to explore.
