In the Christian faith there are so many gifts, blessings, commandments, and etc which have similarities but they also have some differences. Each and every commandment, blessing, and codex all have something that is unique about themselves individually duality. They each have different backstories, how they affect our lives, and how we can live them throughout our daily lives. The ten commandments play a huge part in the Catholic faith as well as the codex and the Beatitudes. However the ten commandments are different because they teach us how to love the Lord our God with our whole heart, soul, strength, and mind. However Beatitudes teach us how to love God and neighbor in a Christ-like way. The Beatitudes were recorded in the Sermon on the Plain. They complete the promises that God made to Abraham, reveal a path to true happiness, and teach the attitudes disciples of Jesus should possess in order to reach their eternal destiny of union with Christ. The Beatitudes are “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven”, “Blessed are they who mourn, for they shall be comforted”, “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land”, “Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied, “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy”, “Blessed are the clean of heart, for they shall see God”, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God”, “Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. All of the Beatitudes are different from the codex and the ten commandments because they teach us how to love God and our
