QP engaged Maunica in participating in a CBT activity geared towards emotional response. QP explained to Maunica that the activity will help her to learn the event is causing the emotion, the interpretation of the event and how to use mindfulness skills in observing and deciding. QP asked Maunica to list some emotions people have. QP brainstormed with Maunica things that prompts events of emotional reactions in people. QP assisted Maunica in participating in a mindfulness exercise.
NS has a sister who is 9 years older. Ms. NS reported that she and her sister had been very close to each other. She elaborated on the relationship with her sister that they feel safe to talk about anything. However, Ms. NS stated that the relationship with her parents was otherwise. Although her mother had been always a stay-at-home mother, Ms. NS illustrated that she and her mother would not like to talk about their feelings and emotions with each other.
She reports that he has been doing better with managing his anger outburst in the home. Jehmari reports that he promise his mother that he going to continue working on better controlling his anger for when he becomes upset. Jehmari states that his mother is very supportive of him and he knows that she only wants the best for him. The family is in a good space at this time. CM will be looking to transition youth out of CMO level of care the beginning of July.
An ISP meeting was held on October 20, 2015 for Robbie at Houston County Association for Exceptional Citizens in Warner Robins, Georgia. All in attendance at the meeting was Robbie Chambless (Individual), Allen Glaser (Uncle), Rosemary Wright (Home Manager), Lester Ward (Social Worker) and Lashonda Turner (Support Coordinator/Facilitator). Robert was in a good mood. He was upbeat as he verbally expressed his desires for the future during the meeting. He was a little unresponsive to questions at times however when asked a question his verbalized his response with no problem.
CFT met to discuss Jy’nir recent incident that caused him to be hospitalize a week later. The Clinical team at Trinitas expressed concerns that Jy 'nir is unable to be maintained with community therapeutic supports at this time and recommend for Jy 'nir to be placed into a structure therapeutic out-of-home treatment program for stabilization. The CFT agreed with clinical recommendations that Jy 'nir is in need of a structured therapeutic setting. The CFT feels that the therapeutic setting will assist Jy’nir with developing coping skills so that he is able to better manage his anger, decrease his impulsivity, comply with authority figures and process past-traumatic events. Jy’nir will also learn in a therapeutic setting how to express his feelings appropriately without resulting to violent and swearing
“ It’s dark where I am and I cannot find the light. There are shadows all around me and my heart is full of fright.” –Andy Jackson. Depression was overpowering Andy when he was facing adversity. Relationships affected Andy during crisis.
Reighn learned to express her frustrations regarding her mother and past experiences. The youth continues to display age appropriate behaviors and interactions with adults and peers. Reighn had supervised family contact with her brothers and other family members approved by DSS worker via telephone and face to face. Family contact and visitation with biological mother and maternal grandmother is still suspended.
Goal 1: Phillip will improve his behavior at home and in the community. • Phillip was in a good mood when the QP met with him for a session. • Phillip reported, “I argue with others, yell, have fits of anger, refuse to do things adults ask, skip school, lie, and break rules often or most of the time.” • Phillip stated, “Y’all cool I am going to like it”; however, the QP asked Phillip to pick an answer from the sheet and he chose extremely satisfied.
Focus: Zarius and his family will learn, practice and demonstrate healthy decision making strategies. Ms. Smalls (MHP), Mr. Ward (MHS) and Zarius process making healthy decisions. Intervention: MHP, MHS and Zarius process negative outcomes of Zarius leaving the school without permission. MHP and Zarius discussed several outcomes if he made better decisions besides leaving school.
In the movie Short Term 12, a drama about a foster-care facility for troubled teenagers portrays the emotional journey of the teenagers and the staff running the facility. A troubled teenage girl named Jayden is brought into Short Term 12 because her father is not able to deal with her. Jayden has a past of self-harm and upon arrival is disinterested in befriending the other adolescents as she is not interested in “wasting time on short-term relationships.” Jayden displays symptoms of oppositional defiant disorder as she defies authority figures and throws tantrums. Using the illness prospective, Jayden can be diagnosed as having oppositional defiant disorder as well as depression.
Quadir responded well to the intervention. Quadir continues to make progress towards his goals. Quadir stated, anger, frustration, sadness anxiety, happiness, embarrassment, shame and guilt. Quadir stated that he has differ kids of emotions every day. Quadir stated that he get upset mostly at school, because his peers triggers his anger.
Taxes have always played a big part in everyone's life. It does not just account to those who live in the United States but in other countries and major states. Tax policies are always a big debate and very controversial because many will argue that making the tax rate to high will hurt those who do not make enough money to have some left over for needs they have. Or we have to raise the taxes for those who make more than the average income. Between the Republican party and the Democratic party they share some views on the tax policies but they also have opposing views that they make known.

Families are said to constitute realities in which most of one’s attributes are constructed, based on the family interactions, beliefs, values as well as the behaviours that are seen in the specific families one is brought up into (Archer & McCarthy, 2007). However, even though most of one’s personal characteristics may be heavily influenced by their families; people do have a sense of individuality that makes them unique from any other person in the family (Becvar & Becvar, 2013). Therefore, one may argue that it is these differences that may cause misunderstandings in families.
Additionally, as a counselor, it is important to be genuine with whatever feedbacks one presents to the patient and what one believes regarding the situation of the client. Mrs. Perez believes the more authentic and genuine he is with her patients, the more help he will be able to offer the clients. As a counselor, it is important to have a fine and professional interaction with one 's client but boundaries must be maintained. Through this, a counselor is able to demonstrate their focus on helping the patients by showing the client that they understand their problems. It also through such engagements that counselor is able to use the non-judgmental attention that does not require words for illustration in helping the patient.
