Taxes have always played a big part in everyone's life. It does not just account to those who live in the United States but in other countries and major states. Tax policies are always a big debate and very controversial because many will argue that making the tax rate to high will hurt those who do not make enough money to have some left over for needs they have. Or we have to raise the taxes for those who make more than the average income. Between the Republican party and the Democratic party they share some views on the tax policies but they also have opposing views that they make known. Many presidents ,such as Gerald Ford and Barack Obama, had strong opinions about the tax reforms and policies, they thought they could help change the way …show more content…

But even with the numerous amounts of tax cuts the middle class still seems to be stumped by the large percentage of tax they need to pay. He decided that by closing the many loopholes to lower the rate down to 28 percent and by also helping modernize the tax system (Taxes). President obama tried many ways to help the middle class with different reforms to help lower the taxes on the middle class it was still difficult. While he had an abundance of cuts and systems President Ford saw that the only way to help the middle class was to stop the spending of tax money. By helping pay the Federal Benefits with the tax money of people it would not help stop the increase of taxes (Presidency).
In conclusion, both presidents had similar ideas in their tax policies of cutting and reforming the way taxes are done and spend. In the end the way they handled the spending would determine the end result of lower taxes and lower inflation. The thought of helping the middle class and bringing tax equality to everyone would really bring fairness those who struggle to pay the high amount of taxes. In the end, taxes will always be a topic that many disagree and agree on depending on how they view it whether in the lower, middle or upper
