Sam Westing wanted to create a game to get back to his wife Crow. Sam had five identities Sam Westing, Barney Northrup, Julien Eastman, Sandy McSouthers, then his Windkopple. Sam had sixteen heirs in Sunset Towers where they lived there and only paid small rent. When ‘Sam Westing’ dies they have to figure out who killed him. The reward was 2 million dollars, and Turtle who was a 12 year old girl, won it all. This game was to get back at Crow but instead Crow found the love of her life Otis, while everyone got what they wanted. Since there is a movie and a book version of the story, there both similarities and differences.

The differences between the movie and the book that involves Sam Westing and his family, is Violet Westing didn’t drown in the pond she jumped of the second floor balcony. Sam Westing didn’t ‘die’ in bed instead he was their and acted like he was dead. Sam middle name started with a ‘k’ instead of a ‘w’. Instead of stealing Mr. Hoo idea he stole Otis because in the movie Otis was the inventor not Mr. Hoo. That is all of Sam Westing and his family differences. …show more content…

George Theodorakis and his wife does not own a shop, Sunny Hoo isn’t in the game, Turtle’s bet is different. None of the stuff got stolen and Sydelle doesn’t have her shorthand notebook to right her clues. Angela isn’t in love with Denton istead with Plum because Denton is not in the game. Everyone was giving Turtle the clues, doesn’t mention Angela looking like Violet Westing. Chris is a computer programmer and also partners with Turtle Wexler.
