John Allen Muhammad vs. Nidal Malik Hasan Nidal Malik Hasan was born in Arlington County. Hasan was raised primarily in Virginia. He graduated from William Fleming High School and attended Virginia Tech. Hasan graduated from Virginia Tech School in 1995. From there, he enlisted himself in the army. He became a major in May of 2004. Hasan was also deployed during that time as well to Afghanistan. Hasan became a convicted criminal when he shot up Fort Hood in Texas. Hasan shouted “Allahu Akbar” and shot up Fort Hood. During that process, he killed 13 people and wounded 30 people. During the chase of a wounded soldier, a female police officer started to fire upon Hasan. Hasan resisted and fired at Todd. In this fire fight, Todd shot Hasan two times to the point that he was paralyzed by the waist down. Hasan was transported to a hospital where he recovered from his coma and was in court martial. People thought that since he had his religious belief of Muslim it was an act of terrorism. That wasn’t the case and he solely acted like this on his own. No matter the motive, Hasan was sentenced to death in military death row. Hasan was the 6th person on the military death row. John Allen Williams was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He didn’t have parental support considering that his mother died of breast cancer and his dad just left him. He was mostly raised by his grandmother and aunt. Williams changed his last name to Muhammad after joining The Nation of Islam.
