This explosion left 168 people dead and many more injured. The one aspect that all the victims had in common was that they were all innocent civilians affected by the bombing. On February 14, 2018, a mass shooting occurred in Parkland Florida. The shooter, Nicholas Cruz, opened fire on Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. In his argumentized article, Political Strategist Reed Galen argues that Americans are not taking these current tragedies seriously, and are beginning to dismiss them as if they are a normal thing. Reed Galen supports his argument by stating examples on how people are beginning to treat these tragedies and explain how the respond to them today. Galen's purpose is to inform the reader that people should actually take action on these situations instead of going to social media to give their condolences. Galen uses a serious tone to appeal to all Americans that they have to begin doing something to help.
The article, "Suspect Arrested in Series of Tampa Homicide," discusses the suspect of the Tampa killings, Howell Emanuel Donaldson 3rd, and how he was discovered when a gun was found inside his work bag at a McDonald in Ybor City neighborhood. The killer is a 24-year-old male that is charged with four counts of the first-degree murderer and was arrested on November 28, 2017. Furthermore, the police have bona fide evidence to prove Donaldson as guilty due to the fact that his Smith and Wesson .40-caliber handgun cartridge casing was found at first three crime scenes. The article, “Life in the shadow of a Killer on the Loose,” explains how in Tampa, Florida, around the beginning of October, nearly four victims were found dead in Seminole Heights. There are only the security cameras scattered around the neighborhood which only show a tall person wearing all black flipping their phone near three of the crime scenes.

Lanza’s horrific massacre evoked fear and grief across the United States, but it soon became the subject of controversy and debate. Although most of the truthers’ arguments have been disproved, the conspiracy theories of the SHES massacre maintains

The really unique feature about In Cold Blood is that it was an actual murder of the Clutter family in November 1958 -1959. Truman Capote was fascinated by the murder of the four family members, as was the rest of the country. It did not only affect small towns of Holcomb, Kansas but the whole country could identify with the horror of an entire family being murdered for no apparent reason. In the small town people we scared and sad for what was happening in there little town.
