The Democratic and Republican parties have been in a disagreement on many topics for years. The Republicans believe in tradition and that the government should not play a big role in people's lives, while the Democrats believe the government should play a role in people’s lives. The Democratic and Republican parties believe in different ways society should function.

The Republican Party takes a more conservative stance on issues. They believe in tradition and that the government should not play a big role in people's lives.
