In the documentary “Football High,” Rachel Dretzin explores the world of high school football in Louisiana, using various rhetorical devices to convey the emotional and physical intensity of the sport. Dretzin uses hyperbole and repetition to emphasize the significance of football in the lives of its players and community. Hyperbole is employed to create an exaggerated sense of the importance of the sport, such as when a coach states that "football is life." (30:28) This statement emphasizes the role that football plays in the lives of players and their families, highlighting the sense of identity and purpose it provides. Repetition is also used to drive home the emotional weight of the sport.

This reveals to his son that athletic skills and being a strong athlete are not the only way to make an impact on the team. The author also desires his son to realize the skills that football can teach him such as how to be a leader, work as a team, and most notably to discover that he can only control certain aspects of life instead of solely playing football for the purpose of enjoying the game. All of the personal experiences and wisdom are given to Ted in order to justify how lucky he is to even be playing a collegiate sport and that he should be grateful for the skills that the game is teaching
Bloody, bruised, and battered, Falls Church’s football team fought on in the fourth quarter. A football flew through the air as players crashed into one another sprinting to the ball, except I wasn’t on the field, nor was I on the sideline. I was a freshman watching our varsity footall team lose 0 to 48 on homecoming night, a familiar sight to many Falls Church students for the past 40 years. Those past 40 years are what has made Falls Church football the laughing stock of our conference, and since our school was one of the smallest high schools in the area, we never had the speed, size, or numbers to compete with other football teams. Our own school saw the team as a joke, 0-10 was a common season record, and being a Falls Church football
If one thing is certain, it’s that the state of Mississippi loves their football. Between the Ole Miss Rebels, the Mississippi State Bulldogs, the Southern Miss Golden Eagles, and multiple high school teams, there is plenty of football to be seen. Fridays and Saturdays are often the Sabbath to the football nuts that reside in Mississippi. Once the dreaded end of the season arrives, the conversation shifts towards how great people’s teams are going to be next year. On occasion, a person will rise from the plethora of meatheads and become a legend among their fellow Mississippi natives.
It is not a system that will help turn the public's aspirations into reality, and every part of the system faces a lot of problems. Both sides are convinced that their correctness and justice, not willing to compromise which cause deterioration of each other. This year the United States general election, Democrats, and Republicans fully demonstrated the characteristics of abuse and threats.

There were ten seconds left in the fourth quarter during the high school football finals with the score being 30-27. The Wasps were down three points when they had the ball at the 50 yard line, and the fate of the championship all depended on one throw. “Hike” yelled the quarterback; the ball snapped to him, and the receiver bolted down the field turf spraying from his cleats. 1.1 million students play high school football, and it is one of the most popular sports. I will be an encouraging teammate on and off the field because that is how we become a state worthy team. Team unity is something that needs to be brought into focus because without that we are nothing and might as well quit. We need to have eachothers backs and not be jealous or selfish, we are a team, A
The different levels of high school football and college football and NFL have different varieties and styles. High school football is the lowest level of football. There are a lot of ideas in this world that people agree on. There are also many beliefs that people disagree on too. In our football program there has been, on multiple occasions this football season, that me and the football team has disagreed on what the coaches has implemented into the football program. Yes, our coaches has done some good things at times but there have been so much poor decisions that has happened instead of good things. This football season we had no authority to change all the bad things about the football program that we felt that if we tried to change their ideas we would be punished, you could say, because it was per say being a thoughtcrime.
Becoming an EY Scholar serves as an incredible opportunity for all the hard work I have contributed towards my education to be recognized by the employer that I aspire to work for upon graduation. Throughout my time at Hofstra University, I have enjoyed doing well in my courses and learning about all the various areas of accounting. Additionally, I have become involved in several accounting and business organizations on campus, such as Beta Alpha Psi and Tax Society, which have all allowed me to discover many of the opportunities that the accounting profession has to offer. Furthermore, my interest in the classroom and my involvement on campus has helped me build a strong network with my professors and fellow students within the department, who continuously motivate and encourage me to grow and develop, both educationally and professionally.
Players have to reach a certain grade point average to continue playing the game, this has made players motivated to keep up good grades or else there will be consequences. The athletes learn the “3 P’s” from football persistence, patience, and practice. Plays learn to work through difficult situations, learn to work hard and get rewarded, and sacrificing things like social time in order to practice and get somewhere later in life. Many participants of high school football come together to study or do homework, encouraging them to bond and have a good relationship with their
They were able to relate to the one inch at a time proposition of pulling together to come out of the disarray the team was in. They were touched by his honesty and openness in the beginning of his speech, which was an attention getter, then intrigued by the challenge to sacrifice for the team and fight for the inches need to win and survive. The coach ended the speech with a summation of the team fighting for that inch together and then concluded with the question, “…now, what are you gonna do”. The inspired team then went on, played with their heart, and won the football game.
