Additionally, some Aztecs will have a spiritual connection to the gods by offering themselves to be sacrificed. When they will be sacrificed there blood was given to the gods. did not succeed. In the Aztec, Inca, and Mayan Empire they did succeed at making them into servants and forced labor. Another difference is that the Europeans forced the Incas and Aztecs to change their religion and become Catholic. They sent a lot of Franciscans to convert Indians to their new religion. On the other hand, The Mississippi Valley Tribes were not forced to change their beliefs.
The Aztec Empire like Ottomans and the Mughals existed in the same time period 1428-152 and share some common points despite the vast difference in culture. Like the Ottomans and the Mughals the Aztecs were also a strong force compared to its neighbors terrifying outside powers who lived nearby. All three Empires relayed on war to expand its borders and influence. The Aztecs and the Ottomans also both had system that allowed for talented commoners to move up the ranks. All three empires also to some extent relied on trade to further itself or get basic goods.
The rise of the Aztec Empire (1150-1521) and Mongol Empire (1206-1368) affected their surrounding regions significantly. Through the invasions by these Empires, the areas they inhabited were conquered and reestablished as their own. The Aztecs and Mongols were similar in many ways including their mutual desire to gain power and land. Although these empires resemble each other in the way they acquired land, they vary in terms of their religion and reasons for engineering advances. Both empires established advances in engineering but, because of their environments, these advances were created differently to benefit themselves.
On the other hand, the Incas were more selective in their sacrifice rituals. They mainly used children, as children were seen as the purest form of mankind. The Incas used their children sacrifices only during or after important events, such as the passing of their emperor or the presence of famine. Not only did these empires differ in rituals, each empire had their own accomplished system for their own uses. The Aztecs had created three broad causeways and aqueducts to supply drinkable water to their capital, Tenochtitlan, an island near the mainland.

The Incas and the Aztecs both fell at the hands of Spanish conquistadors. The Aztecs had a weakness in its empire which was that the Aztec emperor welcomed strangers which was a huge part of their fall. Also the emperor of the Aztecs Moctezuma gave them gifts. The Spaniards left and the came back, and had better weapons then the Aztecs had. They also brought deadly diseases.

Throughout the Americas there were many significant civilizations before the arrival of westerners. Two of the greatest civilizations that I believe were the most interesting because they both were going on at about the same time were the Aztec and the Inca empires. These were both central and south American civilizations that at their height stretched all across central and South America with populations in the millions. Since both these civilizations grew and expanded about the same time and in similar areas there are many similarities and differences between the two. The Aztecs and Incas were different because of the Locations effecting agriculture, their forms of communication and documenting, and there political systems.
In the 1500’s The Inca civilization ended in 1532 and their civilization started around 1438. The Aztec empire however, started in 1427 and ended in 1521. they both built amazing empires that are still recognized today. They believed in gods, they invented clever inventions, and created a lifestyle for the whole empire.
The Aztec and Incan empires were destroyed in similar ways. While their empires were ruled differently and focused on different things their downfall was caused by even the same group of people. Their destruction wasn't peaceful and somewhat gory. Important factors of the fall of the Aztec and Incan empires were European expeditions, disease, and warfare. The Aztec and Incan empires were both unique in their own ways.
The Aztecs conflict and defeat The Aztecs were respectful, religious people, and they also conquered neighboring states/cities. The conflict and defeat of the Aztecs was not unavoidable. The Spanish used god, glory, and gold to make the Aztec empire weak. God: caused the conflict and defeat of the Aztecs, Glory: wanted fame and trust from the King and rise up to the nobility, Gold: wanted to make Spain rich, so they could buy and make expensive material and expand their empire.

They often fought with wooden swords. Instead of focusing on killing their captives, they mainly focused on wounding to misleading captives to sacrifice them to gods. After warfare, they forced their captives to pay tribute or taxes. Now that we’ve discussed warfare, how were they spiritually?
