How were women and children treated during the Holocaust? Women and children who were Jewish during the Holocaust were treated very poorly. Jewish women and children were treated horribly during the holocaust mainly because of concentration camps. Women were frequently subjected to a brutal persecution that was sometimes unique to their gender. The Nazi’s also targeted Gypsy women, Polish women, and women with disabilities living institutions. Before women would go into gas chambers they were stripped of their clothes, and shaved. Certain camps and areas within the concentration camp were designated specifically for female prisoners. Nazi’s were big on killing children of “unwanted” or “dangerous” groups of race. Some children were killed
