On May 25, 1787, our forefathers gathered at the Philadelphia convention, to write on a document that shaped this country for the better. James Madison presented the Constitution and Bill of Rights to the convention in Philadelphia along with Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of independence. On September 17, 1787, the constitution was signed. Later came the Bill of Rights which was later signed on December 15, 1791. Just as Harry S. Truman said it "America was not built on fear.
