It is probable that during one time or another in one’s life, there has been someone there as a guide, a guardian, a person that protects one from the outside world. To start off, In “ Of Mice and Men” written by John Steinbeck, the book itself is a winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature. The two main characters, George and Lennie, are acquaintances that travel together working on different ranches. Although George is not exactly acquaintances with Lennie’s Aunt Clara, she asks George if he can watch over him and, in a way, be Lennie’s family. Therefore, George protects Lennie from getting in trouble with others to avoid getting fired from the ranches in which they work on.
