The book’s title is The Hunger Games, and I believe that it is appropriate for the novel. The reason for this is the entire book is based off of a bad government forcing kids to fight against others kids to the death in an arena annually. For example, on page 18 it states, “Taking the kids from our districts, forcing the, to kill one another while we watch- this is the Capitol’s way of reminding us how totally we are at their mercy”. This conveys how deadly times are and how the Capitol hosts the Hunger Games for entertainment and revenge. Also, on page 295 it says, “We try to eat slowly, but we’re both so hungry were done in a couple of minutes. My stomach is no way satisfied.” This quote proves how hunger played a major part in the games.
