Title Goes Here George is overall a really good friend to Lennie. George may have his moments throughout the novella Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck but his protectiveness towards Lennie, and loyalty show he truly is a good friend. George shows how protective he is for Lennie by constantly talking about him being an amazing farm hand (Steinbeck 22).
I think Steinbeck had that as an original because something always happens in this book and it’s not always good. Well in this book the same bad thing happened twice, I think the title it has now has more meaning than the original. I also believe that the original would catch more attention because the readers will want to know what has happened. I think the original would have a different understanding because that reader is going to expect something very extreme has happened. I believe that John SteinBeck chose “Of Mice and Men” because it has more meaning to the book than the original.
The novel Of Mice and Men, written by John Steinbeck, has a very controversial ending between the two main characters. George ends up shooting his best friend Lennie in the back of the head with a pistol. This is controversial because of the repercussions of George killing Lennie. There were only two ways that this situation could have gone, George shooting Lennie in the back of the head or Curley shooting Lennie with a shotgun in the guts. George did the morally correct thing by shooting his best friend Lennie because it was a quick death and the last thing that Lennie felt was happiness.
The adaption of Of Mice and Men author John steinbeck was made into a film in 1992 and directed by Gary Sinise. Of Mice and Men tells the story of the bond between two characters. Steinbeck is a great actor, In 1939, Steinbeck won the Pulitzer Prize for The grapes of Wrath. I think John steinbeck effectively showed the theme Friendship and loyalty push us to make tough choices.
Of Mice and Men contain a lot of dramatic and overwhelming content. The author might have wrote the book this way to show that times are rough but you can still dream, and i say this because Lennie and George don't make too much money but they still have a picture of the house in their heads. The author has a good way of building up the characters but he doesn't give the reader much of a visual. He doesn't describe who they are or where they came from, but he has a good detail from where they are going and why they had to move. There are a few symbols that stick out to me and probably more readers but crooks is one, crooks is a black man who gets treated like crap just because of his color.
The book “Of mice and men” by John Steinbeck is a novel that follows the lives of two working class men as they make their way across a desolate American landscape searching for work following the devastating events of the 1930’s dust storms which are now a series of occurrences known as the dust bowl. The two men search for work a midst a agricultural society, where all labor accessible to them would be farm labor. One of the men named Lenny is a large kind hearted but mentally handicapped individual.
Of Mice and Men is a classic everyone for sure has read, an American classic tale of close pals that are quite different, but can still find a way to work together through thick and thin for the same dream. It can be seen as a bit of a depressing book towards the end, but it’s a great read and deserves the the respect it gets. Two not too well resourced young men that go by the name of George and Lenny try to fulfill the dream of owning their own land. The two venture off into a sad heartfelt journey that requires open minded thinking to see and experience at its full potential. Lennie a big hearted giant who though isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed, but is simple and loves basic cute things.
A work of literature that has unsettled me is Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck. This caused me to stir with strong unsettling emotion because of the way that the novel ended. Near the end of the story, a mentally deficient man, Lennie accidently murders a young woman. He was simply trying to quiet her. She was so scared from his attentions that she had started screaming.
In the story “Of Mice and Men” by John Steinbeck he illustrates the fight between man versus man. John Steinbeck tells the story of George Milton and Lennie Small, two displaced migrant ranch workers, who move from place to place in California in search of new job opportunities during the Great Depression in the United States. George had Lennie think about the good times on life; about the farm, “livin off the fada of the land” with George and Candy. How Lennie would tend to the rabbits and feed them alfalfa from the field they owned. I believe that George needed to kill Lennie to have closure in the end.
On 01-16-2016 at approximately 1020 hours I was dispatched to 22 Ridgefield Cove in reference to a Trespassing call. Upon arrival, I made contact with Peter Crooks, who told me that his daughter’s ex-boyfriend, Herbert (James) Jones, who had left prior to my arrival, had been at the residence, ringing the doorbell repeatedly. Mr. Crooks said that several months ago, his wife and he purchased a Great Dane for both his daughter and Mr. Jones. He said that during their relationship, they moved to an apartment complex in Conway and they did not allow pets over a certain weight. Mr. Crooks said that his wife and he kept the dog at their residence and maintained ownership of the dog.
The novella, Of Mice and Men, written by John Steinbeck, has become a classic over the past several decades for its emotional appeal about friendship and heartbreak. This is where you now need to start with where/when he was born, who his parents were, describing his education & work history, personal life (marriage, children). John Steinbeck was born on February 27, 1902 in Salinas, California, later John died on December 20th in 1968 of heart disease.
Since Lennie and George travel together i think the benefits that come with that is, they have each other to there not alone in this journey like other people in the Great Depression. Secondly if one of them gets hurt or something bad happens in generally or they need help the other person can at least try to do something but if there alone they would just have to figure it out by themselves. They also solve things together and even thought there might be a smarter person in the friendship at the end of the day if they but there ideas together they come up with something better just because they worked together, which is something you cant do if your by yourself. The risks that come with this id that they might end up get in into a heated argument
Of Mice and Men is a book about an unusual friendship, loyalty, and loneliness. The author, John Steinbeck, shows many different personalities and different ways of life through the characters. Although each character is different in their own way, they all share one common thing: they show no emotion when violence is taking place. The characters in Of Mice and Men are desensitized to violence shown by the emotions running when Curley and Lennie fight, Curley’s wife’s death, and when George makes the decision to shoot Lennie.
Soledad, California during the great depression. On a sunny nice afternoon George and Lennie walked down the road to find a new job, Lennie held onto a dead mouse, gently, creepily petting it. After arriving to their new bunkbed in the new ranch job. They decided to start working for Curley’s dad’s, the boss, in order to earn up enough money to get their own piece of land, where lennie constantly begs to tend the rabbits. Lennie is mentally despaired, he tags along with George since he won't survive on his own, Lennie has a monomania with petting soft objects, because of this he causes trouble for George.
