Is there anything stronger than killing oneself to be with the person one loves forever? In Romeo and Juliet, written by William Shakespeare, the Montagues and Capulets are enemies. There two children, Romeo and Juliet fall in love at a party and ends in a tragedy. In Mice and Men, written by John Steinbeck, two best friends, George and Lennie take care of each other since Lennie is mentally disabled. They spend every hour and every day together. In the end, they are faced with a tragedy. Romeo and Juliet's relationship is stronger than George and Lennie's because they are very balanced with each other, and can trust each other with anything, while George and Lennie always are fighting and George likes to take control over Lennie.

Romeo is willing to buy the poison and die for Juliet after he found out she is dead. This is showing that Romeo is willing to do anything for Juliet so they can spend eternity together. Than these poor compounds that thou mayest not sell” (Shakespeare 5.1.84-87). When Balthazar came to see Romeo he was expecting Juliet to be well, but he brought the news of Juliet being dead. Once Romeo gets this news he goes and visits Apothecary to get poison to kill himself. Romeo claims that money makes people do bad things. And by Apothecary giving him poison, it is a good thing because he wants to die because Juliet is dead. George and Lennie’s relationship is not as strong as Romeo and Juliet’s because Romeo and Juliet will do anything for one
