An Advertisement is a company's most basic strategy to sell their services or product to buyers; also an advertisement that is composed correctly will do more than just please the buyer. An Advertisement's effectiveness is measured in its ability to present a need for the buyer and present a solution to the buyer with their product. If a commercial cannot persuade the buyer, then it cannot achieve its purpose. A commercial needs to persuade a potential buyer into buying the product, without forcing the buyer. Therefore the creators of commercials use all the tools of persuasion to manipulate a person's thinking into looking at their product positively. People like to think of themselves as a pretty rational level headed human being but if the internet has taught us anything over the last 10 years it’s that the pictures of cats eating oversized cupcakes or videos of dogs in coats chasing lasers or Longform advertisements featuring hamsters will turn anyone’s heads no matter how intelligent a person might be. A lot of car commercials who display a renovation of the car really only have two choices. Either they can make the car looks really different which is what happened with the original Tesla Model S when it came out, they said this is going to be totally new and it was. Secondly they can make things a little different or give the car better lines or put different colors on it but essentially the car company doesn’t mess with the original product. The problem with this commercial is that it mainly highlights the visual aspect of the car. However if the commercial portrays a car designer drawing the designs for the car, he's also carving the model of the car and thinking to himself how can he make the car better. The end result shouldn’t just be a green Kia that looks like the car that the audiences have seen before. Due to this, the commercial fails to make the point that Kia has been making in the entire the commercial by showing fat hamsters turn into the three good looking hamsters which symbolically portray the transformation of the
