Some people think that Romeo and Juliet is good to teach in the ninth grade to learn life lessons. My view on teaching Romeo and Juliet is good to teach in the 9th grade because it is a good coming of age story and helps learn about life. One reason I think that Romeo and Juliet is good to teach in ninth grade is because it helps young students to learn about life such as love, and how it can destroy or help someone in love. It is also relevant to teenage boys and girls that are going through problems in the 9th grade.
Romeo and Juliet and Pyramus and Thisbe are both very similar works of historical literature, but there are also several key differences. The characters and plot have a lot in common but the specific details changed a lot. The first and most obvious similarities are the main characters. They both are destined not to be together.
In the story of “Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare, is about a feud between two families and how their war and hate for one another drove two young teens to kill themselves and two high family officials got murdered. In Love Story, a song written by Taylor Swift is about the play “Romeo and Juliet” but she puts her own spin on it. Her song is about Romeo and Juliet falling in love and Juliet’s point of view on things. And in the end Romeo and Juliet get there happy ending. Both the book, “Romeo and Juliet” and the song “Love Story” have very similar plot lines.
In the streets of Verona another fight breaks out between the servants of the feuding families of Capulet and Montague. Benvolio a Montague, tries to stop the fighting Tybalt, arrives on the scene. After citizens mad by the violence Prince Escalus the ruler of Verona prevents any further conflicts between the families by calling death for any one who causes a fight in the future. Romeo runs into his cousin Benvolio who had earlier seen Romeo moping around. After some questons by Benvolio, Romeo admits that he is in love with Rosaline and she will not love him back.

Personally, the Baz Luhrmann 1997 version of Mercutio’s Death scene in Romeo and Juliet was more effective out of the two we’ve been presented. Initially, This version of the scene indubitably grabbed my attention for the reason of it’s dramatic, serious and suspenseful plot that makes me want to keep watching. The modern version has a lot more action and it is not simple to follow along than in the other version of this scene. Specifically, The fighting is a clear example of my thinking.

There have been many movie adaptations of Romeo and Juliet done and yet there are only a few out of the five I have watched that I would recommend. The top one that I would recommend is the 1968 version, directed by Franco Zeffirelli.
